I was quite surprised by the result because prevalence of smartphones/internet made people easier to access to information without reading books. However, majority of people who answered my survey still enjoy reading!

I personally like reading reference book because I can get more knowledge rather than reading novels. I also like scientific fiction especially dystopia one such as 1984, On The Beach, and Fahrenheit 451 etc. However, most of the questionees chose novel. I presume that novels often move people’s hearts.

This is about the same result that I expected. This is mainly because Internet made us easier access to the information that people are looking for without any books. In my case, I like reading very much and I always read a book at my free time. So maybe I would chose 5 if i were a questionee.

I expected that the result of this question would vary significantly from people to people. It is dependent on the situation and how people feel. However, I was impressed with the fact that some of the people like to read at the lounge. I personally don’t like to read at the lounge because I really want to focus on the book when I read.

I conducted this survey on 28th May, so I was very happy because majority of questionees read a book within a month. I think it shows that most of students find it important to read although people have smartphones.

This is very far from what I expected. As you can see from here, it seems to vary from people, but those who answered my question choose between 21:00 and 23:00. This is mainly because people tend to read a book after they finished their works or part time jobs. In addition, reading also makes us relax and calm so people think it is best to read before they go to bed.

This is the most interesting result because it clearly shows uniqueness of people. Although majority of people choose novels at #2, only one person want to write novel. I’m not sure if there is compatibility or not but it remains a mystery.

I’m very happy with the fact that everyone thinks that reading makes us smart. Not only getting some knowledge, people read a book to learn new words. That is what most of respondents have in common. Especially, those who answered my survey are learning English so I guess most of them read a book to learn new English vocabularies.
(CONCLUSION)
some of the answers were far from my prediction so I really enjoyed conducting this survey. Recently, instead of buying books at bookstore, people read a book by using tablets such as kindle, IPads and other devises. That also makes us easier to access to books so I hope those who hate reading will change their minds. Reading also makes us think and write logically so I strongly recommend them to start reading books! Thank you for your cooperation!
